Charged EVs | Constellium to supply foilstock to Lotte for battery foil applications

French aluminum merchandise producer Constellium has signed a long-term settlement to produce foilstock to South Korean battery supplies agency Lotte Infracell, a subsidiary of Lotte Aluminum, for its EV battery foil functions in Europe.

Constellium will provide the foilstock from its Singen web site in Germany. Lotte Infracell will make a strategic funding that may allow Constellium to speculate round €30 million in new ending strains on the facility to reinforce its manufacturing capability.

“This collaboration will guarantee a dependable provide of high-quality foilstock for our battery functions, supporting the speedy progress of the electrical automobile market in Europe,” stated Yon Su Choi, CEO of Lotte Aluminum and Lotte Infracell.
