The Boring Company’s Prufrock-3 launches at Tesla Giga Texas

The Boring Firm’s (TBC) Prufrock 3 has formally launched at Tesla Giga Texas. 

In a current video by drone operator Jeff Roberts, The Boring Firm’s Prufrock 3 tunnel boring machine (TBM) is seen partly underground, signaling that it has began digging towards Tesla Giga Texas. The TBM is porpoising or launching instantly into the floor, greater than midway into the bottom.

In March 2023, Prufrock 3 made a subtle cameo in a TBC put up on X. The TBM was within the background of a photograph of Prufrock 2 and firm staff. On the time, Prufrock 3 hadn’t been deployed but. 

Fellow drone operation Joe Tegtmeyer and others occupied with TBC’s Tesla Giga Texas undertaking estimate that Prufrock 3 will dig a distance of about 300 meters. Discipline specialists who labored with Tegtmeyer estimate that the TBM will take 2 to 4 weeks to dig the Giga Texas tunnel. 

Prufrock 3 is predicted to tunnel quicker than its predecessors. The Boring Firm’s web site states: “Prufrock’s medium-term objective is to exceed 1/10 of human strolling pace, which is 7 miles per day.”
