Charged EVs | ChargeX consortium recommends common EV charging station error codes

Now the consortium has launched a report that recommends 26 frequent EV charging error codes to allow quicker error reporting, diagnostics and backbone.

The brand new report, Recommendations for Minimum Required Error Codes, goals to scale back confusion amongst charger producers, automobile OEMs and charging station operators, who at the moment use completely different messages to report related errors. The frequent codes ought to assist simplify diagnostics when a charging session fails, streamlining EV charging community operations and enhancing the charging expertise for drivers.

ChargeX trade members ABB and EVgo demonstrated among the error codes in the course of the current CharIN Testival in Cleveland, Ohio.
