Bosch Engineering, an entirely owned subsidiary of Robert Bosch GmbH, and electrical boat developer X Shore are collaborating to enhance the efficiency and effectivity of the electrical drive system of the X Shore 1.
Since launch, the X Shore 1 has been fitted with Bosch’s largest motor available on the market for leisure boat functions, in addition to the Bosch inverter and the gearbox, developed and manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. These elements provide energy, silence, reliability and compactness, aligned with X Shore’s imaginative and prescient of delivering excessive efficiency electrical boats to the market.
The motor generator SMG220 OHW delivers as much as 140 kW (most) and 350 N·m (most). The ROTATRAC eGFZ9200 is a 2-speed spur gear drive. The INVCON 3.3 inverter gives custom-made management for Bosch electrical motors.
The X Shore 1 is provided with a 63 kWh battery pack; vary is 50 NM at decrease speeds.
X Shore’s deeper collaboration with Bosch Engineering marks the start of Bosch’s electrification journey into the leisure boat phase—of which X Shore, as a sustainability pioneer within the boating business—has been rigorously chosen as a part of the pilot.
The collaboration intends to boost and develop the X Shore 1’s electrical drive system—enhancing on energy because of its light-weight design, growing effectivity by design and software program set-up, permitting for simple integration into present methods by using space-saving design, and saving time and prices because of the elimination of upkeep efforts.
